‘Interior Motives’ Turns Bedroom Sleuthing Into a Game Show

Deep in the dark heart of every design obsessive is the yearning to snoop. Interior Motives is an LGBTQIA+, online game show that indulges this desire. And it’s all consensual.


Viewers submit photos of their bedrooms and one additional space (usually their fridges). Then host Ben Mora (@benmoraa) and guest contestants guess the viewer’s age, gender identity, sexual orientation, and location based on those images.

It’s all for queer joy, and the points don’t matter. But it sure is satisfying to guess correctly.


And it is nice to see reality reflected online. You probably won’t find a prop-styled bowl of limes here. Real homes are messy and chaotic … Right? Right!? AF
